Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Leeds

Salary: £39,275 + Overtime Available (OTE £42k+)

Shifts: Rotating 3-Shift Pattern (2-Week Cycle)

Mornings: 06:15 14:15

Afternoons: 14:15 22:15

Nights: 22:15 06:15

About the Role

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a balanced mechanical and electrical skillset (50/50) to join a busy and well-established manufacturing operation in Leeds. You will play a key role in maintaining production reliability by carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across plant and equipment.

This opportunity would suit a hands-on engineer comfortable fault finding across both disciplines within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery

Log maintenance activity accurately on the CMMS system

Support continuous improvement initiatives (RCA, 5S, TPM, SMED)

Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures

Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime

Assist with maintenance projects and improvement work

Skills & Experience Required

Apprentice trained in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience within manufacturing or production environments

Balanced mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability

Mechanical knowledge including bearings, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics

Electrical experience including motors, sensors, control systems or fault diagnosis

Experience using CMMS systems

Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics

IT literate (Word / Excel)

Flexible to work rotating shifts
