Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: East Cheshire

Pay: £97.50 per day | Opportunity for a permanent contract

Are you an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant with a genuine passion for supporting young people with challenging behaviour?

TimePlan Education is working with a highly regarded specialist SEN school in East Cheshire, supporting students aged 11-16 with complex needs including ASC, PMLD, communication and sensory needs and associated neurological conditions.

We are looking for a resilient and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with an EHCP throughout their school day. You will play an important role in supporting emotional regulation, positive behaviour, engagement and independence.

What you'll be doing:

Provide consistent 1:1 behaviour and SEN support

Support a student who displays challenging behaviour

Follow and implement strategies linked to their EHCP

Promote emotional regulation, communication and independence

Build a trusting, positive relationship with the student

Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEN team

Maintain a calm, structured and safe learning environmentWe're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience supporting challenging behaviour - essential

Is resilient, patient, consistent and emotionally robust

Has experience within SEN, specialist education or care

Works exceptionally well as part of a team

Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Team Teach or Oliver McGowan training is highly desirableWhy this school?
