Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

Contract Type: Fixed Term (6 Months)

Working Pattern:3 days per week in office

Location: London, UK (Farringdon)

Pay: £500 to £750 per day Inside IR35

About the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in harnessing the power of data to drive strategic decisions across various domains-ranging from online services and pricing to supply chain management and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Analysis: Leverage your analytical mindset to tackle complex business problems and prototype effective solutions.
  • Algorithm Design: Apply, modify, and design advanced algorithms and mathematical models to extract meaningful insights from large data sets.
  • Communication: Validate, document, and present modelling processes and performances, ensuring clarity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely within a diverse team of data scientists, sharing knowledge and driving data science initiatives across the organisation and the wider community.

What You Bring

  • Educational Background: A strong numerical degree in mathematics, science, engineering, or computer science.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in machine learning, data mining, and programming (Python preferred).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: A scientific mindset with the ability to ask and answer the right questions.
  • Specialised Knowledge: Experience in predictive modelling, operational research, deep learning, and time series modelling.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven commercial experience working with business stakeholders, alongside a record of mentoring and developing junior professionals.
