Contract: 9 months – Temp to Perm

Hours: Full-time

Inside IR35

We’re looking for an experienced Windows Software Engineer with a background in medical devices and IoT to join a growing engineering team.


This is an exciting opportunity for a software engineer who enjoys working on complex, technically challenging products and wants to contribute to the development of innovative solutions within the life sciences / medical technology sector.


The Role

As a Windows Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and integrating Windows-based software components across a range of applications and systems.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing and integrating Windows-based software components
  • Developing user interfaces, connectivity and communication services
  • Developing software and configuration tools
  • Supporting manufacturing and production activities
  • Contributing to software architecture and design decisions
  • Investigating and resolving software defects
  • Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust, reliable software
  • Supporting software development within a regulated life sciences / medical device environment
  • Contributing to technical documentation and risk management analysis


About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience as a Windows Software Engineer
  • Previous experience working within the medical device industry – essential
  • Strong IoT experience – essential
  • Experience developing Windows-based applications and software components
  • Experience with connectivity, communications and/or device integration
  • Experience working within a regulated life sciences environment
  • Understanding of software documentation and risk management
  • Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing and other technical teams
