Job Description

I am recruiting for my client, a well established engineering business specialising in the supply, installation and support of highly technical electronic equipment throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Workshop Electronics Engineer to join their team based in Poulton le Fylde.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ex military engineer with a strong electronics background looking to join a growing business where you will receive full product training and work on a wide range of specialist electronic systems. The role is predominantly workshop based with occasional travel to customer sites to support installations, commissioning and technical projects.

Workshop Electronics Engineer Responsibilities:

* Diagnose, fault find and repair specialist electronic equipment.

* Test, inspect and commission equipment prior to customer delivery.

* Provide telephone and remote technical support to customers.

* Support customer installations, upgrades and technical projects when required.

* Participate in the out of hours technical support rota once fully trained.

Workshop Electronics Engineer Requirements:

* Proven electronics engineering experience with a minimum of Level 3 qualification or above in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.

* Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.

* Experience working with electronic systems, circuit boards, power supplies and software controlled equipment.

* Ability to install, configure and update software.

* Good IT skills with experience using Windows based operating systems.

* Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites when required.
