Salary: £35,000 - £40,000pa plus a discretionary 20% bonus (target based)
Location: Middleton
A fast-growing organisation are seeking a permanent Payroll Manager to join their team, paying a salary od £35,000pa - £40,000pa. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing for the business, you will be managing a small team, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and efficiency at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end to end payroll for approximately 1500 employees
Manual calculations relating to bonuses, overtime, tax, NI and other compensations
Prepare and submit payroll tax returns (p60’s and p11ds), ensuring these are submitted in a timely and accurate manner
Dealing with payroll related queries
Recruit, mentor and train payroll staff
Distribute workload accordingly throughout the time, ensuring the team have the required tools and support to carry out their roles to the best of their ability
Administration and maintenance of records relating to benefits schemes within the business
Producing the annual gender pay gap report
Providing support to the HR team
Any other duties as required relating to the payroll function
The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience
Extensive payroll experience
Ideally CIPP qualified or working towards
Experience working on payroll software
A deep understanding of payroll legislation
Strong mathematical skills
Organised and excellent attention to detail
Excellent excel knowledge, including pivot tables and V lookups
The ability to lead, manage and motivate a team
