Human Resources Director

As HR Lead in Edinburgh, you will head up a small HRBP team and partner the COO, playing a key role on the SLT and leading the business through large scale transformational change.

The role will focus on the following:

Driving the people agenda, leading on organisational change, transformation and culture change including the modernisation of HR, it's agenda and approach to achieve longer term success, aligned to the corporate strategy.

Overseeing the approach to the performance management cycle, talent development, annual compensation reviews incl. transfers, promotions, improvement activities, personal development planning, talent reviews and succession planning, engagement.

Driving the people agenda with the support of the local HR team

Coaching senior leaders and managers, playing a key role in developing business leaders to act as role model & coach.

Strengthening and building inclusive leadership.

Working with the SLT, looking at organisation structures and making recommendations, considering risks.

Future planning, considering key & future talent and understanding critical roles.

Working with the COO to identify high potential individuals for development and agreeing development plans also aligned to the strategy.

Building a compelling vision, engaging leaders and the workforce.

This role is a superb opportunity for a proven Senior HR Leader, used to operating at Senior Business Partner/Head of HR or Divisional HR Director level and with sound experience in change & transformation (turnaround) within a highly complex business.

You will be a proven & commercial HR leader with sound generalist HR experience alongside strong business acumen where you have taken a business through significant change & transformation, looking after a large site/multiple sites.

The ability to challenge & influence the SLT and management team is key on both people & business-related matters, combined with the resilience and flexibility to adapt different approaches and build sound relationships with a variety of people.

This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to build and own the future success of HR as well as the opportunity for progression.

You will have worked within a fast-paced environment within manufacturing, engineering, logistics or similar (industrial) and unions experience is a MUST.

Salary offered is up to £110,000 per annum (dep on exp) plus car allowance & bonus.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite, Edinburgh) but may initially require more onsite presence.
