Teaching Assistant

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons

* Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and progress

* Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive classroom environment

* Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

* Support pupils with a range of abilities and educational needs

* Help develop pupils' confidence, independence, and social skills

* Contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment

Essential Requirements

* Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching, youth work, or similar setting

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* A positive, patient, and caring approach

* The ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Preferred Requirements

* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a relevant Level 3 childcare or education qualification

* Previous experience working within a primary school environment
