Using fresh, seasonal ingredients, the kitchen delivers comforting favourites alongside creative specials, with an emphasis on flavour, quality, and consistency.
The owners are now looking for a talented Head Chef with fresh ideas and strong leadership skills to build on this success, modernising the menu while respecting the pub's identity and continuing to delight both regular guests and new visitors.
One of the standout benefits of this role is the excellent work-life balance. Food service finishes at 8:00pm Monday to Friday and 6:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays, meaning you'll enjoy consistently earlier finishes than many Head Chef positions.

As Head Chef, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading and developing the brigade while driving standards and introducing fresh ideas that keep the food offering exciting and relevant.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Head Chef looking for greater creative freedom and a healthier work-life balance, or an ambitious Sous Chef from a quality fresh food background who is ready to take the next step into their first Head Chef position.
As Head Chef you will:
Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen brigade
Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day kitchen operation
Create and evolve menus featuring classic British cuisine with a modern edge
Introduce fresh seasonal dishes and exciting specials
Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
Manage stock control, ordering, GP, and food costs
Ensure excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained
Foster a positive kitchen culture focused on teamwork, development, and continuous improvement
The ideal candidate will have a strong fresh food background, excellent leadership skills, and a genuine passion for modern British cooking.
You will be creative without overcomplicating your food, commercially aware, and excited by the opportunity to take an already successful kitchen to the next level by inspiring the team and evolving the menu.
