This is a high profile and highly visible Finance Manager role for one of our great, reputable, dynamic large retail clients. Established over 20 years ago this is an established but growing mini-channel retail business going through an exciting period of change and growth.
About the role
The Finance Manager will coach and develop 2 direct reports, working closely with the head of department. The specific area of responsibility will be linked with costs and overheads but there is a wide scope of other responsibilities. This is a fast paced retail environment and the successful candidate will be expected to be able to develop and shape this role in this type of environment, whilst managing a small team.
Key responsibilities
Analysis of data, managing and challenging key areas of cost
Business partnering to challenge and improve existing assumptions leading to increased profitability
Support the team in the production of relevant analysis
Continuous improvement of processes
Contribution to Financial Planning
Understanding external commercial impacts
Support the team with the production of content for the monthly Management Accounts.
Coach, mentor and manage a team of 2.
Finance Manager Person profile
CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified
Proven experience in a similar role
Experience gained within an omni-channel retail/consumer background highly desirable
A strong analytical approach
Excellent communication skills across all levels with the ability to influence
Used to adapting and dealing with change
Deliver to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
Ability to work calmly under pressure
