Job Description

The ideal candidate is a strong technologist with a generalist mindset—comfortable wearing multiple hats, adapting quickly, and delivering in a high‑pressure environment. An especially interesting feature of this opportunity is that they have various MSPs carrying out the standard project work, therefore this team take on the most interesting, sexy and strategic projects!

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement cloud‑native architectures, microservices, and serverless applications, leveraging containerization and orchestration technologies.
  • Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and configuration management tools to streamline provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Evaluate new cloud technologies, services, and features, and make recommendations for adoption based on business requirements, cost‑benefit analysis, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to document technical architectures, standards, and best practices for cloud computing, and ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategies and objectives.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or similar role, with hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and best practices, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and related tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing, load balancing.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), encryption mechanisms, and regulatory compliance requirements in financial services.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a major multi‑strategy Hedge Fund in its early stages of operations and growth with a strong pipeline of greenfield projects and initiatives. Please note that this firm operate a full-time onsite, five‑days per week policy.
