Location:Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Salary:Up to £40,000 p/a
Hours:9:00am 5:30pm
Job Type:Permanent

Are you an experiencedCMM Programmerwith a passion for precision engineering and quality assurance? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, technically advanced environment where your expertise will play a key role in developing and optimising inspection programs for complex components. As a CMM Programmer, youll be responsible for creating, validating, and maintaining CMM programs, ensuring accurate inspection of manufactured parts while supporting production and engineering teams to achieve the highest quality standards.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Creating and optimising CMM inspection programs using industry-standard software
  • Developing programs from engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications
  • Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspections on components and assemblies
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality requirements
  • Analysing measurement data and generating detailed inspection reports
  • Supporting root cause investigations and reporting non-conformances
  • Collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve quality and inspection processes

What Youll Bring

  • Proven experience as aCMM Programmerwithin a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Experience programming CMMs using software such as PC-DMIS, MODUS, Calypso, or similar
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles and inspection techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Knowledge of CAD models and inspection planning would be advantageous
