Job Description

Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant

Full-time | Long-term | Runcorn

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting pupils with additional needs and looking for a role where your skills will genuinely be valued?

Premier Education is recruiting for a qualified and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming school in the Runcorn area. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils and knows how to provide the right balance of encouragement, structure and consistency.

We're looking for someone who:

Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Has good experience working within a school setting
Is confident supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
Can adapt learning and break activities down to help pupils access the curriculum
Has strong behaviour management and can remain calm and consistent
Is comfortable supporting pupils individually and in small groups
Is reliable, proactive and able to quickly become part of a school teamThis would particularly suit an experienced TA looking for a long-term role where they can really get to know the pupils, staff and routines of the school, rather than moving between day-to-day bookings.

Premier Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All applicants will be subject to our full registration and compliance procedures, including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance, we will also carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. All candidates must be able to demonstrate their understanding of safeguarding and their responsibility to protect the welfare of children.

Interested? Apply today or contact Amy at Premier Education for a confidential chat about the role.
