The role

An experienced HGV Class 2 Driver concrete or mixer driver is required to deliver ready-mixed concrete safely and efficiently from the Bristol area to customer and construction sites. This is a permanent, daytime position paying £17 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and operate an HGV Class 2 concrete mixer vehicle
• Deliver concrete to scheduled locations across Bristol and surrounding areas
• Complete vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues
• Follow delivery instructions, site procedures and relevant legal requirements
• Safely discharge and manage concrete at the delivery point
• Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with the transport and site teams
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable

Skills and qualifications

• Previous experience as a concrete driver or mixer driver
• Appropriate HGV Class 2 driving entitlement
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
• Good knowledge of safe vehicle operation and daily checks
• Reliable, punctual and customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently while following delivery schedules
• Good communication skills and a professional manner
• Willingness to follow site safety procedures and work around construction environments
