Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Social Worker to join our dynamic team. The MASH Social Worker will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and families within our community. This role requires a keen understanding of child protection protocols, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of referrals received from various agencies.
Collaborating with police, health professionals, schools, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information.
Making timely and accurate decisions regarding the level of intervention required to safeguard children.
Providing support and guidance to families in crisis situations..
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and interventions.
Participating in case conferences and strategy meetings to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
Requirements:
Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
Registration with Social Work England.
Previous experience working in a MASH or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and procedures.
Strong team-working skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
Ability to work under pressure and manage a demanding caseload.
