About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our dynamic team, covering the Basingstoke, Reading, Oxford, Slough, Woking, and West Berkshire areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work on a varied portfolio of security systems within a supportive and growth-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and small works of electronic security systems across multiple commercial and private sites. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and a customer-focused approach, capable of working independently while being supported by a dedicated engineering team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience as a Security Engineer with a solid background in installing, servicing, and fault-finding electronic security systems. Essential qualifications include a full UK driving license and relevant industry certifications or demonstrable technical skills. Experience with systems such as Axis, Hanwha, Galaxy, Texecom, and Paxton is highly desirable. The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, a professional attitude, and a genuine interest in developing their technical expertise within the security industry. A customer-oriented mindset and the ability to manage workload independently are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain CCTV, intruder alarm, and access control systems across various client sites.
• Conduct fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Complete small works, including upgrades, modifications, and system expansions to meet client requirements.
• Work with a range of security systems including Axis, Hanwha, Galaxy, Texecom, and Paxton, ensuring compatibility and optimal operation.
• Support high-profile commercial clients such as business parks, offices, and private estates, delivering professional and efficient service.
• Accurately complete service documentation and reports, maintaining detailed records of all work carried out.
• Manage your own workload effectively, working independently on-site while adhering to health and safety standards.
• Participate in a 1-in-5 call-out rota, providing standby support and ensuring prompt response to urgent service requests.

• Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £47,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
