Join First Step Physical Education as a PE & School Sport Coach, delivering structured, high-quality PE and sports sessions to primary school pupils on a salaried basis (Term-time - 39 weeks).

The Position

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic PE & School Sport Coach to work with our a partner primary school, delivering PE lessons and a broad curriculum of sport to the same groups of children each term. This role suits a confident, adaptable coach who can act as a positive role model, plan effective lesson content, and track pupil progress over the academic year.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver PE lessons and a variety of sports to primary school aged pupils
• Plan and adapt schemes of work to meet pupil needs across the curriculum
• Assess and record pupil progress each term
• Be assertive, engaging and respected by pupils
• Demonstrate professionalism when working with school staff and parents
• Carry out risk assessments for sessions and equipment
