Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, term time only

Aspire People have partnered with a SEN school in Coalville who are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to make a real difference to their education, confidence and development.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide pupils with the guidance and encouragement they need to thrive in school.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Helping children access learning and participate in classroom activities
Supporting pupils with their communication, confidence and independence
Providing emotional and behavioural support when required
Helping to create a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
Supporting individual learning and development plans
Encouraging pupils to achieve their personal and educational goals

We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working with children with SEN
A caring, patient and nurturing approach
The ability to build strong relationships with children
Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
A calm and resilient approach to challenging situations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
The commitment to work Monday-Friday, term time only
