Software Engineer United Kingdom (Remote with visits)
Inside IR35 - Initially until the end of the year but likely to be extended.
Key Responsibilities Design, automate, and maintain robust CI/CD build infrastructure utilizing Jenkins and GitHub Actions .
Develop comprehensive Python scripts and automation tooling to streamline engineering workflows and reduce manual overhead.
Administer, tune, and troubleshoot Linux environments, ensuring optimal performance across the engineering compute estate.
Manage and optimize large-scale source control repositories using both Git and Perforce (P4) .
Configure and resolve bottlenecks within Network Storage / NFS environments supporting heavy, data-intensive compute workloads.
Core Technical Requirements Operating Systems: Deep hands-on experience with Linux administration and systems architecture.
Development & Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python and shell scripting for infrastructure automation and tooling.
Version Control: Extensive experience managing enterprise codebases with Git and Perforce (P4).
CI/CD: Proven track record of building, scaling, and maintaining deployment pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Storage Systems: Solid understanding of network storage principles, particularly NFS mount configurations and troubleshooting.
Preferred / "Nice to Have" Experience Hands-on exposure to distributed systems, compute farms, or workload managers such as LSF (IBM Spectrum) , Grid Engine , or Slurm .
