Senior Software Developer (Backend / .NET / Azure)

Overview

Senior Software Developer needed for hands‑on backend development, working on data‑driven systems, APIs, and cloud services. The role focuses on building new services, re‑writing their whole back end system, and designing scalable architecture using the Microsoft Azure and .NET ecosystem.

This is a backend‑focused role with around 10‑20% focused using Front End modern Es6/7 technologies. This is optional, as their are Mid and Senior Full Stacks within the organisation.

Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services and REST APIs
Build scalable systems using C# / .NET
Work with SQL Server and data modelling
Develop cloud‑based services in Azure
Maintain and improve existing systems
Perform code reviews and support best practices
Work with stakeholders to define technical solutions
Write and maintain technical documentation

Unit testing/ TDD

Our client have nationwide office with 3 offices in the midlands. They occasionally meet up 2-3 times a year so this position is predominantly remote.
