Senior Electronics Engineer

ELECTRONICS ENGINEER – PRODUCTION ENGINEERINGA fantastic opportunity has become available for an Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering to join a leading high-technology organisation developing advanced thermal imaging, night vision and augmented reality systems.You will join a newly formed NPI team, working closely with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality to transition complex electronic products from prototype through to scalable production.THE ROLEYou will provide hands-on electronics and production engineering support, with a focus on PCB design, manufacturability, NPI and production test solutions.Supporting the transition of products from prototype into volume manufactureWorking with R&D to improve PCB designs for manufacturability and testabilitySupporting PCB assembly, integration and electronic fault findingDeveloping and improving automated production test equipment and fixturesSupporting NPI builds and resolving production issuesCarrying out root cause analysis and implementing improvementsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORDegree in Electronic Engineering or a related disciplineProven experience using Altium for PCB design and layoutStrong experience with PCB assembly, integration and electronics manufacturingGood understanding of DFM, DFA and DFT principlesExperience supporting products through NPI and into productionStrong board and system-level fault-finding skillsUnderstanding of ISO9001 or similar quality systemsExperience with automated test equipment, microcontrollers, LabVIEW, C/C++ or military-standard product development would be advantageous.THE OPPORTUNITYThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering team and work on highly advanced electronic systems, with strong long-term development opportunities.
