Development ManagerThis is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Qualified Quantity Surveyor with a background in residential, living or mixed-use projects who wants to play a key role across the full development lifecycle - from acquisition and appraisal through to planning, delivery and completion.The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, consultants, contractors and investors on a varied pipeline of projects across London.The RoleProvide quantity surveying and commercial support across residential and mixed-use development projectsReview construction costs, budgets, procurement and value engineering opportunitiesSupport development appraisals, feasibility studies and viability assessmentsAssess acquisition opportunities including development costs, planning potential and development constraintsSupport due diligence and the review of project costs and development assumptionsCoordinate with external consultants, contractors and project teamsMonitor programme, budgets, risks and development milestonesAssist with procurement, tendering and contractor appointmentsPrepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and funding partnersRequirementsBackground in Quantity Surveying, either within a consultancy, developer or contractor environmentAssistant QS or Qualified QS levelExperience across residential, living or mixed-use projects preferredStrong understanding of construction costs, procurement and commercial managementCommercially minded with strong analytical skillsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Surveying, Construction or related disciplineMRICS beneficial but not essentialExperience within the London residential or mixed-use market preferred
