Reed are delighted to offer the following opportunity with a respected national accountancy firm. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Audit professional to join a growing and dynamic team as an Audit Assistant Manager.
This role is ideal for a qualified or finalist-level ACA/ACCA professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing multiple assignments, and delivering high-quality audit and compliance services. You'll work closely with a varied portfolio of clients, providing valuable insights that support business growth while developing your own career within a supportive and progressive environment.
The Opportunity
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting senior leadership whilst managing a broad portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for ensuring assignments are delivered efficiently, within budget, to the highest professional standards.
Working alongside Partners, Directors, and wider service teams, you will develop strong client relationships and contribute to the continued success of the practice through exceptional service delivery and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of audit and compliance assignments from planning through to completion.
Prepare assignments for Partner and Director review, including accounts, briefing notes, and supporting documentation.
Coordinate compliance service delivery, ensuring client information is obtained efficiently and deadlines are met.
Liaise with tax and specialist teams to ensure work is appropriately planned and delivered.
Monitor assignment budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure engagements remain on track.
Highlight key client issues, risks, and opportunities to Partners and Directors.
Prepare draft reports, financial projections, and supporting analysis for review.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
