Actus Search are currently supporting a global hedge fund in hiring a Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) to join a high-performing global systems team.

This role sits at the heart of a high-performance trading and research environment, focused on delivering scalable, resilient database infrastructure using modern DevOps practices.

🔧 What you’ll be doing

Designing, deploying, and supporting cross-platform database solutions (PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, MSSQL)

Ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability across critical systems

Implementing and maintaining:

Backup and disaster recovery strategies

Database optimization (indexes, triggers, stored procedures)

Collaborating closely with development, infrastructure, and investment teams

Owning projects end-to-end — from design through to production deployment

5+ years’ experience in database administration (PostgreSQL or similar)

Strong knowledge of high availability, performance tuning, and disaster recovery

Experience with Linux systems and scripting (Python, Ruby, or Perl)

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), CI/CD, and observability tools is a plus

A systematic, problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills
