Overview

Location - London Area, UK (2 days per week in office)

Contract - 6 Months

Team Overview:

  • Focussing on sign- up, sign in and acquisition through prospect web journeys, third-party partner integrations and in-app purchases. Additionally provides extensive self-service capabilities for in-life customers account management such as chatbots, live chat and comprehensive help articles.
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Programme Manager to join our dynamic Project & Programme Management team. As a Technical Programme Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various technical projects & programmes within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects & programmes.

What you'll do:

  • As a member of the Programme Management Leadership team, your role involves facilitating & leading communications between Global Commerce and various stakeholders in Global Streaming Technology, ensuring smooth operations, strong relationships, and aligned priorities.
  • Provide Line Management & Leadership to an assigned group of skilled Project & Senior Project Managers, supporting their growth and development.
  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of multiple projects/ programmes in your assigned portfolio, ensuring that appropriate governance and controls are in place and used by the assigned Project Manager.
  • As needed for large or complex initiatives, take responsibility for initiative delivery involving multiple teams, ensuring effective collaboration and development from start to finish.
  • Provide clear and concise updates to senior stakeholders and executives as required for regular status reporting and ad-hoc decision support.
  • Apply best practices in programme and project management for quality project delivery & lead continuous improvement of processes.
  • Coordinate with other programme managers to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team to align priorities, project objectives with overall business goals.
  • Be confident leading and chairing workshops with multiple senior, technical, product and business stakeholders and owning communication of the outputs (actions and key points).
  • Be comfortable working in a busy environment and able to prioritise where conflicting calls on your time exist.

  • Be an active member of the Project Management community - Support the ongoing growth and development of the Project Management team by engaging in and developing team initiatives
  • Be an active member of the wider Global Commerce department, supporting department initiatives.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in successfully delivering technical programmes or similar roles, spanning multiple years of managing multiple technical projects within a fast-paced industry
  • Experience in developing, leading, coaching, and inspiring teams of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • The ability to think strategically, pragmatically, and positively about product, technical and cross-functional challenges collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders for the benefit of our customers.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and manage relations across all levels of the organisation.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant technical experience, ideally with an understanding of OTT, Streaming services, Identity and Sales and Service capabilities.
  • A recognised Programme Management Practitioner certification is desirable.
