Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy, were enabling the energy essential to support our lives.

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

What will you be doing?

As a Trainee Site Engineer, youll be working on our Overhead Lines contracts across the UK.

The role will involve working away from home at varying locations across the UK on a general working pattern of a One-on One-off basis (working one weekend on and then one weekend off). Undertake training as required in order to learn the principles of 400/275/132kV overhead line construction & design.

Gain an appreciation of the planning, preparation, and Implementation aspects of OHL work

To undertake periods of study to gain a nationally recognised qualification. Periods in between attending college will be spent on site developing work-based skills

Promote safety, health, and environmental initiatives e.g., Home Safe Every Day, throughout all projects within Transmission Networks

Ensure M Group and the Clients standards are met/exceeded to at all times

Actively promote the reporting of Safety Observation Reports. (SORS)

Assist with undertaking monitoring and inspections in accordance with the site Safety Management System audit schedule to ensure all team are working to required Work Instructions

Assist with the monitoring of work quality throughout and participate in climbing inspections when trained to do so, in line with the Site Quality Plan
