Description

Role Purpose

The Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day financial control and reporting of the business, providing accurate financial insight while supporting senior leadership with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and commercial decision-making. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on improving processes, controls and reporting as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Own the monthly management accounts, reporting pack and detailed variance analysis.

Provide clear financial insight and commentary to senior management, highlighting risks and opportunities.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections and scenario modelling.

Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring accuracy and integrity across the ledger.

Oversee VAT, statutory reporting, year-end accounts and audit requirements.

Monitor working capital, debtor performance and cash collection.

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and system efficiency.

Work closely with operational and commercial teams to improve financial visibility and decision-making.

Drive automation, data accuracy and continuous improvement across the finance function.

Support the wider finance team and contribute to the development of a robust, scalable finance operation.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.

Proven experience in running a finance function in an SME

Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.

Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Job Offer

£60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus
