SEN Teaching Assistant – Wirral

Location: Wirral (Post Code: CH41)

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Daily Supply

Start Date: September 2026

Pay Rate: £85.44–£110 per day

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools in the Wirral (Post Code: CH41) area . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils and helping them achieve their full potential.

You will work closely with teachers to provide effective classroom support, assist with learning activities and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.

Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.

Provide support with literacy, numeracy and general classroom activities.

Help maintain a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.

Support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs where required.

Assist with classroom organisation and displays.

Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and participation.

Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.

A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.

Good classroom management and behaviour-support skills.

Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 is desirable.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
