The role is a NEW BUSINESS HUNTER as a DEPOT SALES MANAGER's role based at our clients PAISLEY or GLASGOW site in THE WEST CENTRAL LOWLANDS area SCOTLAND with a focus on New Business Sales within the Express Parcels industry with a monthly rolling target of £4,500 a month AND a focus on the CENTRAL BELT OF SCOTLANDThe Area is all the PAISLEY, GLASGOW and surrounding CENTRAL BELT of SCOTLAND area including incorporating the postcode areas of mainly G and PA.£35,000 to £40,000 Basic salary plus car/car allowance and 25% commission paid on revenueJob Summary:Overall Purpose of Role - To ensure that their home Depot exceeds its revenue budget, by:- Exceeding their personal new business budget/target- Managing the customer base with relevant Depot colleagues to ensure minimal attrition- Building close and effective working relationships with a network of contacts within prospective customers- Identifying and qualifying customer opportunities for new product sales- Developing and broadening relationship with existing customers while identifying and qualifying opportunities for new product salesMain Responsibilities:- Work with the Depot General Manager, Regional Director & Regional Sales Manager to implement the sales strategy and business plan for the Depot- Define target list of customer prospects based on clearly defined criteria that maximises return for our client- Achieve and exceed personal and Depot targets in line with budget - Working with the Depot General Manager to manage customer relationships by engaging in personal ownership of the customers- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the product portfolio and all associated features and benefits and to tailor those benefits to the needs of the customer- Track performance of accounts, opportunity and scope to build and maintain customer relations- Submit accurate and timely sales reports- Attend team meetings and contribute as necessary on own individual performance, prepare for manager review meetings and complete sales activity reports accurately and on time- Use the sales tools in line with the agreed sales process to maintain and develop sales pipeline and customer informationSales Manager - PAISLEY and GLASGOW- Salary £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience plus a lucrative commission scheme OTE potential £20k TO £40K plus on top of basic (this is minimum providing target of £4,500 new business rev per month is met monthly)- They would prefer a Parcel, Haulage, Pallets or Feight background if possible but will consider Industry related, switched on individuals- Would like people who can profile and put a quote together themselves- New business hunter with an ability to manage the top 20 accounts at the DepotKnowledge, Skills and Experience- MUST BE A NEW BUSINESS HUNTER- Extensive experience within either the Parcel, Pallet, Freight industry or Retail, FMCG sector- Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, networking and campaign management)- Detailed understanding of sales process and demonstration of world-class sales rigor, hunger and determination- Proven track record of closing major opportunities. Professional sales and negotiating training- Proven sales ability with historic success at exceeding new business targets, whilst excelling at customer retention through professional account management, development and planning skills- Excellent presentation skills- Problem solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions- Able to travel within designated territory and able to work with the minimum of supervision- Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Email, Access, Power Point)Measures: - Delivery of New Business Sales Target and Depot Revenue Budget Target- Achievement of New Business Sales Targets- Achievement of Depot Revenue Budget Target- Customer retention at home Depot- Profile Reviews all up to date within the customer base at home DepotPersonal Specifications:- Results driven, self-confident individual with an ability to empathise with customers at all levels- Able to work both alone and as part of a team- Consistent drive and energy, positive attitude- Flexible work ethic
