Solutions Architect

Salary: £69,000 - 109,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience across AI and Generative AI, including LLMs, foundation models, AI assistants, agents, RAG, enterprise search and workflow automation.
• Experience in solution and platform architecture, designing scalable, resilient and supportable enterprise solutions.
• Experience in data and integration, including data architecture, governance, structured and unstructured data, APIs, search and information management.
• Experience in modern engineering practices, including automation, deployment, testing, observability, DevOps and service transition.
• Experience in security and governance, including secure-by-design architecture, identity, privacy, data protection, AI risk and governance.
• Experience in customer and commercial activities, including consultancy, pre-sales, technical workshops, bids and development of customer-facing propositions.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology, AI, data or automation solutions.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical architectures and delivery roadmaps.
• Experience developing reusable architectures, frameworks and implementation patterns.
• Experience working in customer-facing architecture, consultancy or pre-sales environments.
• Experience collaborating with security, governance, engineering and operational teams.
• Experience taking technology propositions from concept through to commercial delivery and ongoing support.
• Relevant architecture, AI/data, security, governance, service management or delivery certifications would be advantageous, although equivalent experience will be considered.
• Eligible for SC level security clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and shape our AI strategy, roadmap and architecture.
• Design secure, scalable and reusable AI solutions and implementation patterns.
• Identify opportunities to apply Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, RAG and automation.
• Develop new AI-enabled products and services, taking solutions from pilot through to production.
• Create reusable architectures, frameworks, documentation and implementation guidance.
• Drive internal AI adoption to improve productivity, knowledge management and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership across customer engagements, workshops, bids and pre-sales activity.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Data, Operations and Commercial teams.
• Ensure our AI solutions meet appropriate security, data protection, governance, risk and compliance requirements.
• Keep up to date with emerging AI technologies, market trends and responsible AI practices.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an AI Solutions Architect to lead the practical adoption of AI across our technology and services organisation. This is a hybrid role based in Yorkshire, with a salary of up to £95,000 per annum plus benefits. You will work across AI, data, architecture, automation, security and governance, helping us embed AI into existing products and services while developing new AI-enabled capabilities that improve automation, productivity, customer experience and operational efficiency.
