SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Colindale, NW9
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £105–£110 per day
School: 2-Form Entry | Mainstream Primary | Ofsted Outstanding
Start Date: September 2026

An exceptional 2-form entry Outstanding primary school in Colindale (NW9) is looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This school is known for its supportive leadership, inclusive ethos, and strong commitment to SEN provision.

What We’re Looking For

* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

* At least 1 year of experience working in education

* Experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs desirable)

* A patient, adaptable and proactive approach

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work confidently with staff, pupils and families

Your Role

* Provide effective 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs

* Implement targeted strategies in collaboration with the SENCO and external specialists

* Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs

* Support emotional regulation and positive routines throughout the school day

* Work closely with class teachers to ensure full access to the curriculum

* Build positive, trusting relationships with children

* Contribute to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
