Job Description

Your new company
A well-established manufacturer is looking to recruit a Production Scheduler to join its busy Supply Chain team in North Manchester. Operating in a fast-paced production environment, the company supplies products to customers across multiple markets and is committed to maintaining exceptional service levels, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Your new role
As Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating and managing production plans to ensure customer demand is met efficiently and on time. Working closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics and customer service teams, you'll coordinate production activities, manage priorities and resolve short-term supply chain challenges.

Key responsibilities will include:

Developing and maintaining production schedules to meet customer demand and target delivery dates
Monitoring component availability and working with procurement to address shortages
Liaising with production teams to ensure plans are achievable and resources are aligned
Managing schedule changes and communicating updates to key stakeholders
Supporting product launches and ensuring production readiness
Monitoring service levels, stock targets and planning performance
Reviewing planning parameters within SAP and making recommendations for improvementInvestigating planning issues and implementing corrective actions to minimise disruption

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have previous experience in production planning, scheduling or supply chain coordination gained in a manufacturing environment.

You will also have:

Experience working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing setting
Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments
Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-makingHigh levels of accuracy, attention to detail and accountability
