People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Stafford, Staffordshire .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Rates of Pay:
£18.00 per hour
Shift Pattern:
Working 5 nights between Monday and Sunday
Start times between 01:00 and 06:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are:
Completing between 1 and 3 deliveries per shift using pump trucks
Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods where required
Maintaining high standards of customer service
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:
Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Valid UK CPC Card
Valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
Good spoken and written English
Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills
Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Training:
Industry-related training provided
Ongoing support throughout your assignment
