PROJECT ENGINEER KEY POINTS Salary up to £40,000 Based in Fareham with UK-wide customer site work Delivering server, storage, networking, wireless and security projects Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, HPE, Aruba & Veeam Mix of project delivery, technical pre-sales and 3rd Line escalation ABOUT THE CLIENT We're supporting an established IT solutions provider delivering infrastructure projects across the education and commercial sectors. They're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their Fareham team and take ownership of technical projects from initial scoping and design through to implementation and handover. THE PROJECT ENGINEER ROLE You'll deliver infrastructure projects remotely and on customer sites, carrying out technical audits, site surveys, solution design, installation and configuration. Projects will cover Windows Server, Hyper-V, server/storage, LAN/WLAN, backup and security . You'll also support technical pre-sales opportunities and provide 3rd Line escalation support where required. PROJECT ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS Windows Server, Hyper-V and SCCM Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy Server and storage infrastructure LAN / WLAN networking Backup and recovery Firewalls and network security Infrastructure implementation and troubleshooting Technical documentation, audits and site surveys Experience within an MSP or technical pre-sales environment would be beneficial, alongside HPE Server & Storage, Aruba/Aruba Central, Veeam, Smoothwall and SD-WAN . A full UK driving licence is essential , with UK travel and occasional overnight stays required.
