This role will work collaboratively with a small Senior Management Team and will be responsible for our Production and Industrial teams.
In the role you will:
• Take overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Production and Industrial activities.
• Work closely with our Supply Chain Manager and wider team to understand and support effective day to day production planning.
• Take overall responsibility for all teams in our 24/7 manufacturing facility across multiple technologies with direct line management responsibilities for 7 employees and an overall team of about 30 people
• Work with our SHEQ Manager to deliver a safe working environment and lead a culture that enhances behavioural awareness to reduce accidents and near misses.
• Own and deliver all KPIs across the production site including efficiency, cost, training & development.
• Engage the teams through clear and frequent communication and by delivering a supportive, modern and collaborative leadership style.
• Support the SMT to ensure the business is BRC, SMETA and ISO 9001 compliant.
• Drive and lead Industrial Engineering and Capital Expenditure change Projects.
• Drive improvement initiatives across manufacturing embedding a continuous improvement culture within the production teams.
• Fully communicate and lead the efficiency plans to the teams and gain buy in and ideas from the production team.
• Budget responsibility for Factory HR, Maintenance, Site Services & Capital expenditure.
• Drive progressive change management through leadership, involvement and presence.
• Integrate and ramp up new technologies.
• Work with our HR Manager to select, recruit and develop new talent.
What does your background look like?
• A strong manufacturing background ideally in the FMCG sector
• Strong and demonstrable H&S experience
• Proven experience in BRC and ISO9001 and internal auditing
• High energy – you thrive on a fast paced, deadline driven environments
• Ability to balance short term demands with long term objectives to ensure strategies and objectives are achieved
• Able to demonstrate leadership within a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to focus teams on KPI’s delivering improvements through continual assessment and continuous improvement.
• Enjoy the detail and be constantly looking for trends in manufacturing to drive efficiencies.
