Machine Operator

Huddersfield | Rotating Shifts | Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing operation in Huddersfield. This role would suit an experienced production professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality products.

The Role

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialist machinery, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the smooth running of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

Operate production machinery in line with manufacturing specifications and production schedules.

Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.

Undertake machine set-ups, adjustments, and changeovers.

Monitor machine performance and identify any operational issues.

Accurately record production data and relevant documentation.

Support effective shift handovers and communicate production updates.

Follow all health & safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Previous experience as a Machine Operator within a manufacturing or production environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

Ability to follow processes and work to production targets.

Basic IT skills with experience of recording production data.

Knowledge of continuous improvement principles would be advantageous.

A reliable, methodical, and team-focused approach.

Shift Pattern

This role operates on a rotating 3-week shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm

Week 2: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm

Week 3: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am
