Construction Manager (Accommodation Provided)
Location: Coldstream, Scottish Borders (TD12 4LX)
Candidates based around Edinburgh (EH28 8PW) are also encouraged to apply due to the commutable distance.
Rate: £23.08 - £25.64 per hour
Contract Length: 10 Months (with potential extension)
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 8:00am - 6:00pm, although there may be occasions where working hours are 7:00am - 5:00pm depending on project requirements.
Overtime: Available

The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Scotland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Manager with a strong electrical background to join a large-scale energy infrastructure project. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing site operations, managing subcontractors, maintaining high health and safety standards, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage communication between contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Monitor site progress, identify and resolve issues, and provide regular updates to the project team.
Manage subcontractors and site-based teams to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
Ensure all construction activities are delivered in line with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
Support engineering teams with construction methodologies, programme development, and method statements.
Maintain accurate site documentation, including inspections, permits, briefings, and daily records.
Promote and enforce a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across site activities.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions where required.
Maintain detailed site diaries and records of progress, variations, and contractor attendance.
Support the commissioning and handover phases, ensuring all testing records and as-built documentation are completed.
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
Proven Construction Management experience within the utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
Strong experience managing electrical installation projects.
