Delivering major marine infrastructure demands accurate setting out, strong site control and an engineer who understands how civils work comes together on the ground. As a Site Engineer, you’ll work on a substantial Fort William project covering new slipways, berthing infrastructure, earthworks, drainage and concrete works.With accommodation provided alongside a vehicle and fuel card, this is particularly well suited to someone happy to work away during the week. The project has a 64-week programme, with an immediate start available and the initial contract expected to run for at least six months.What’s in it for you£300–£400 per day, depending on experienceAccommodation provided for the duration of the assignmentVan or Jeep supplied, including a fuel card and use for travel to and from homeOpportunity to work on a significant marine infrastructure and civils projectPotential for the initial six-month contract to be extendedWeekend overtime available, normally with a 1.5x uplift subject to agreementYour responsibilities as Site EngineerCarry out accurate setting out using EDM and GPS equipmentMonitor site works across earthworks, drainage, kerbing and reinforced concrete structuresSupport delivery of two new slipways, an overnight berthing structure and associated parking and marshalling areasMonitor works including dredging, sheet piling, concrete works and surfacingComplete QA documentation and raise RFIs and ITPs as requiredHelp ensure work is delivered safely, accurately and in line with project requirementsWhat we’re looking for in a Site EngineerPrevious experience working on civil engineering projects involving earthworks, drainage, kerbing or reinforced concrete structuresPractical setting-out experience using EDM and GPS equipmentExperience completing QA documentation, RFIs and ITPsAbility to monitor construction works against drawings, specifications and project requirementsRelevant civil engineering or construction qualificationsWorking hours: Monday to Friday, with some Saturday working required. Weekend overtime arrangements to be agreed.
