Job Description

A leading global engineering, infrastructure and project management organisation delivering complex, nationally significant programmes across transportation, energy, defence and the built environment. The business provides integrated services across consultancy, engineering, design coordination and project delivery, working within highly collaborative multidisciplinary teams to deliver large scale infrastructure that supports long term economic and social growth.

About you

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Architecture delivery team, responsible for technical design at RIBA Work Stage 4. The role involves working closely with other disciplines including building design and rail specialists, ensuring design solutions are pragmatic, responsive to the client brief, and considerate of the site’s context, climate, and culture. Responsibilities include:

  • Producing architectural technical drawings, schedules, and specifications.
  • Developing design solutions with a strong narrative that enhance AtkinsRéalis’ reputation.
  • Reporting on project activity, analysing feedback, and identifying success factors.
  • Contributing to the design culture and capability of multi-disciplinary project teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • RIBA Part 3 qualification or CIAT accreditation, with 3–5 years post-professional or post-chartership experience.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex projects across multiple stages, with a good understanding of UK Building Regulations.
  • Experience in transportation projects, ideally rail, as well as commercial or public sector buildings.
  • Strong design process knowledge, capable of taking concepts through to detailed design, including key detail identification and construction stage delivery.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Bentley / Open Building Designer, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Enscape, or V-Ray.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with a positive 'can-do' attitude and the ability to support project and studio leads effectively.

We would love to hear from you and chat more about this amazing opportunity.
