Position: Lead Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Northampton

Duration: Until 31 May 2027, with potential to renew

Working Pattern: 2-3 days onsite per week

Rate: £390/day inside IR35

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Java Full Stack Developer to join an enterprise development team, delivering scalable and high-quality applications across both front-end and back-end technologies. You'll play a key role across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and development through to testing and deployment, working within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Key Skills & Experience

8+ years' experience in Java Full Stack Development

Strong front-end experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js and Jest

Strong back-end expertise with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, REST APIs and Microservices

Experience with JUnit, Mockito and automated testing

Good knowledge of SQL, ideally MS SQL

Experience with cloud platforms and messaging technologies

Strong understanding of TDD, CI/CD and Agile/Scrum

Experience with Cucumber and Selenium

Familiarity with tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube, Veracode, Maven and NPM

Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
