We are Artelia UK, a multidisciplinary cost and project management consultancy, working primarily in property and construction. We are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our busy team based in our offices in Holborn.

Purpose of Role
The UK remains a key strategic hub for Group and has strong growth ambitions, both organically and by acquisition. Supporting this mission is a robust finance team committed to making a difference and remaining a centre of excellence. We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic person to join the London finance team who can support the team with maintaining an effective control environment in relation to compliance, internal controls and external audits and actively contribute best practice within the wider UK Finance team. The right candidate needs to be able to work well within a dynamic environment and produce high quality outputs on a timely basis. The candidate should be working towards their AAT qualification. In return, the candidate will work within a knowlegeable finance team that will support their career progression. Key Areas of Responsibility
Seek supplier invoice approvals; code and post invoices into financial ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics AX2012
Assist with setting up BACS payment runs, plus ad-hoc payments
Review and process company employee expenses; liaise with the business to ensure expenses are posted on a timely basis and with accuracy
Reconcile supplier statements
Post daily cash receipts and prepare bank reconciliations
Prepare credit control reports
Chase client payments, document progress and deal with any issues or queries effectively
Review and post employee timesheets
Assist with managing the finance group email account
Assist with framework returns
Assist with year-end statutory preparation
Follow up and resolve all queries on a timely basis
Carry out general ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as required within finance team
Candidate Profile
Studying towards AAT qualification
Some experience of financial systems
A working knowledge of Excel
Able to respond to queries/requests promptly
Able to work towards and meet deadlines
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive and enthusiastic team player with a can-do attitude!
Location and Benefits
Holborn office-based contract with hybrid working an option; minimum three days in office is required
Salary dependant on experience
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and two days charity leave per annum
