This Year 6 Learning Support Assistant role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in the classroom every day.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:

Provide 1:1 support as a Learning Support Assistant to pupils with additional needs
Deliver small group interventions as a Learning Support Assistant
Assist children with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs as a Learning Support Assistant
Work alongside teachers and SENCOs as a Learning Support Assistant to support learning plans
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation as a Learning Support Assistant
Help create an inclusive classroom environment as a Learning Support Assistant

Requirements for a Learning Support Assistant:

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or working with SEN pupils
A patient, caring and adaptable approach as a Learning Support Assistant
Strong communication and teamwork skills for a Learning Support Assistant
Understanding of behaviour management strategies as a Learning Support Assistant
Availability to start immediately as a Learning Support Assistant
