Tutor Required - Tonbridge Area (Immediate Start)

Location: Tonbridge, Kent

Hours: 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced Tutor to support a young adult with autism on a 1:1 basis in their home in the Tonbridge area.

This rewarding role involves delivering highly personalised learning sessions focused on very low ability Maths, English, and Life Skills . Learning will be delivered through a combination of puzzles, physical activities, play-based learning, and practical engagement , tailored to the individual's needs and interests.

The Role

Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions in the student's home.

Teach basic Maths, English, and Life Skills.

Use creative and interactive approaches to learning, including games, puzzles, and physical activities.

Prepare a simple weekly plan of learning activities.

Complete a daily session report following each visit.

Build a positive and trusting relationship with the young person and their family.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children or young adults with autism and/or additional needs is essential.

Experience delivering educational support, tutoring, SEN support, or similar interventions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable, patient, and adaptable approach.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is welcome but not essential .

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
