Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our caring team. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs, including children and adults requiring assistance with daily activities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference through mentoring, teaching, and providing compassionate care in a supportive environment.

Duties

* Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management.

* Support clients in engaging with their community and participating in recreational activities.

* Provide mentorship and encouragement to promote independence and confidence.

* Implement tailored care plans designed by healthcare professionals to meet individual needs.

* Foster a positive, respectful environment that encourages growth and development.

* Collaborate effectively with families, healthcare teams, and other support staff to ensure consistent care delivery.

* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition promptly.

Experience

* Previous experience working with children or individuals with complex needs is highly desirable.

* Experience with ADHD and mental health.

* Experience with challenging behaviour.

* Demonstrated ability to mentor and teach others in a supportive manner.

* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.

* Knowledge of health and safety protocols relevant to caregiving environments.

* Compassionate attitude combined with patience, reliability, and professionalism.
