OverviewControl Systems Engineer – WinCC | Warrington | £60,000 | UK Passport RequiredKO2’s client, a specialist in advanced control systems, seeks an experienced Control Systems Engineer with a deep understanding of WinCC, Siemens PLCs, and redundant server architecture. This is a full-time, permanent role based onsite in Warrington. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must hold a UK passport.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and modifying graphical interfaces for new and legacy systems using WinCC ProProgramming SCADA systems to interface with databases for read/write operationsWorking with redundant WinCC servers and multiple operator stations across a high-density tag environmentIntegration and control of systems using Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and STL programmingInterfacing with Plant Bus and Graphical Bus environmentsOnsite testing, with final FAT carried out by the client before installationApproximately 12 weeks per year onsite for installations and testingTechnical RequirementsStrong expertise in WinCC Pro development and VB/C++ scriptingExperience with high availability Siemens systems, particularly 1517HA and 1515RComfortable working with redundant server systems, node configurations, and multiple screen environmentsAbility to interpret and modify existing models and system graphicsExperience with SCADA-controlled databases for switching operations (ON/OFF logic)Preferred ExperienceLocated within a commutable distance of Warrington (e.g., St Helens, Wigan, Liverpool, Manchester)Strong background in control systems for critical infrastructure, especially aviation or transport sectorsEmployment DetailsOnsite role in WarringtonThis is a rare opportunity to work with cutting-edge, safety-critical systems in a highly specialised and rewarding field.
