Fire And Security Engineer

Job Description

Fire & Security Engineer – Bournemouth - Up to £35,000 DOE + travel time, overtime, standby, bonus & commission

  • Up to £35,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
  • Additional earnings through paid travel time, overtime, standby, bonus and commission – averaging around £6,000+ annually.
  • Company van/car with the choice of business-only or business and personal use.
  • Pension, mobile phone, PDA, uniform and power tools provided.
  • Competitive overtime, call-out and standby rates, plus commission on upsells and modifications.

Job Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join an established technical team covering the Bournemouth area.

The role will involve a mix of installation and service work across Fire, CCTV, Intruder and Access Control. Ideally, you'll have experience across all four disciplines, although candidates with strong experience across three will also be considered.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for an experienced engineer who is confident working across multiple disciplines and can take ownership of projects and customer requirements.

This would suit someone looking to take the next step in their career while retaining a strong technical element to their role, with plenty of opportunity to increase earnings through overtime, call-outs, travel and commission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service and maintain Fire, CCTV, Intruder and Access Control systems.
  • Lead engineering teams and take responsibility for projects when required.
  • Manage customer requirements, modifications and small works.
  • Complete fault finding, testing and commissioning to a high standard.

Engineer Requirements

  • Strong experience in Fire, CCTV, Intruder and Access Control – ideally all four disciplines.
  • Strong fault-finding, installation, servicing and commissioning skills.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach with good communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
