Senior Software Engineer

Up to £65,000 p/annum

Primarily Remote (Regional Offices plus B-weekly visit to London - fully expensed)

Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for security clearance due to the nature of the project.

CPS Group are supporting a leading IT Consultancy in the recruitment of multiple Senior Software Engineers to join a growing team delivering secure, technically complex projects across the public sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with strong Java experience.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work as part of an Agile team, contributing across the full software development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing, developing and testing bespoke software solutions in Java, React JavaScript, and TypeScript

- Working across a range of open-source technologies and libraries

- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab

- Deploying applications across AWS

- Contributing to architecture, technical design and solution development

- Working across the full software life cycle, from requirements through to delivery and ongoing support

- Working collaboratively with customers and wider technical teams

- Taking technical ownership and mentoring or leading others where appropriate

Key Skills:

- Strong commercial experience with Java

- Hands-on Full Stack development experience

- Experience with React, JavaScript and TypeScript

- Experience working with AWS and/or Azure

- Strong understanding of software development best practices

- Experience working within Agile environments

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Previous consultancy experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
