Location: Warwickshire based with travel

Salary: £80-90k pa (DOE) + £8k Car Allowance (or car after probation)

Are you an experienced Operations Manager or Senior Project/Contracts Manager with a strong background in mechanical services, construction or engineering?

We are working with an established and growing mechanical services business to recruit an Operations Manager to take responsibility for the successful operational delivery of its projects across the UK.

This is a senior leadership position, reporting directly to the Managing Director and playing a key role within the Senior Leadership Team. You will lead the operational function, manage Project Managers and site delivery teams, oversee resource allocation and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and in line with commercial targets.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the operational delivery of mechanical projects from initial handover and mobilisation through to completion, commissioning, client handover and defects close-out.

Key responsibilities will include:

Lead the operational delivery of multiple mechanical projects from mobilisation through to completion.

Manage and support Project Managers, Site Supervisors and site delivery teams.

Develop operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency and project performance.

Take overall responsibility for the allocation of labour, supervision and operational management across projects.

Ensure high standards of Health & Safety , including RAMS, permits, inspections and corrective actions.

Monitor project performance and identify projects that are under-performing or at risk, implementing effective recovery plans.

Oversee project schedules, budgets, resource requirements and operational readiness.

Conduct internal project audits to ensure company processes and standards are being followed.

Manage operational aspects of relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Work closely with Commercial and Pre-Construction teams to manage contractual and commercial risks.
