Legal Billing and Accounts Coordinator

Our client, a leading US Law Firm is seeking a Billing and Accounts Coordinator to join their London-based team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful Billing and Accounts Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day billing and credit control of the London and Paris offices, along with the processing of weekly expenses and general accounting support to the department.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a Law Firm, and be confident working at Partner-level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular meetings with Partners to review and discuss client inventory, providing updates where necessary
- Responsible for producing prebills and ad-hoc reports
- Oversee the process of editing and finalizing draft bill s
- Prepare and submit invoices
- Respond to all billing-related queries from Attorneys
- Liaise with overseas offices with all billing queries and issues
- Review outstanding bills with Partners and ensure prompt payment of bills with clients
- Contact clients as required to discuss unpaid bills
- Review and approve all expense claims
- Collate data for end of year P11d forms
- Provide cover for the Accounts Coordinator when required
Key Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Law firm environment
- Experience in both billing and accounts would be advantageous
- Excellent Excel skills
- Good working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules, AML policies and VAT compliance
- Abiilty to liaise with colleagues and clients of all levels
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
