Job Description

Maintenance Engineer (Days)

Location: Northampton

Commutable from: Northampton, Wellingborough, Daventry, Towcester, Milton Keynes, Rugby, Kettering, Market Harborough, Banbury and Bedford.

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Starting Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 P/A

Realistic Earnings: Circa £45,000 P/A (Bonus & Occasional Overtime)

The Business

Auxtronic is partnered with a well-established industrial manufacturer operating within the gas processing and engineering sector.

Based at their Northampton facility, the business specialises in the inspection, testing and refurbishment of industrial equipment, supplying customers throughout the UK and internationally.

The Role: Maintenance Engineer

* Carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance across a wide range of production and process equipment.

* Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and return machinery to production with minimal downtime.

* Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections.

* Maintain pumps, motors, valves, pipework, pressure systems, conveyors and other industrial process equipment.

* Support machinery upgrades, site improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Mentor and develop the site's engineering apprentice.

* Work closely with production to maximise equipment reliability and plant performance.

Entry Requirements

Qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering, ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship.

Experience:

* Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within Manufacturing, Industrial Processing, Utilities, Chemical, Recycling, Packaging or Heavy Industry.

* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
